The Cape Winelands District Municipality has once again received a clean audit opinion from the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) — our 11th in a row for the 2023/2024 financial year. The result was officially confirmed in May 2025, and yesterday we proudly received the trophy at the annual Clean Audit Award ceremony hosted by AGSA.

Receiving this trophy is more than just recognition — it’s a reminder to us all of the importance of transparency, accountability, and the responsible use of public funds.
The AGSA’s “clean audit” is the highest outcome an institution can achieve, confirming that financial statements are accurate, transparent, and compliant with legislation — proof that every rand is managed wisely and used for its intended purpose.
With the audit for the 2024/2025 financial year already underway, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of good governance and service to our community.
